Seventeen and a half (17.5) inches of sheer luxury in style and gemstones, this piece is the showpiece of this collection. Made with ten 14mm Freshwater Cultured White Pearls, hand cut into halves and filled with white topaz and surrounded by Black Onyx stones. To date, this is the only piece to feature Rhodium plated spacer beads. 
 
Rhodium is a silvery-white transition metal that holds the distinction of being the world's most expensive precious metal. It has an atomic number of 45 and is about as nonreactive as gold. The only way to dissolve rhodium is with sulfuric acid. Part of this metal's appeal comes from its high reflectance, almost unique among the metals.
 
The necklace is finished with a large, Byzantine-style, round ,fancy, toggle clasp.
