Who is the Gloria of Jewelry By Gloria?

My name is Gloria, and I'm from the Chicago area. When I began designing jewelry six years ago for my friends and family, they encouraged me to create and sell my pieces to boutiques.

After great success, I decided it was time to go out on my own with a desire to make beautiful handmade jewelry for women of all ages.

Most of my pieces are handmade, but others are handpicked. I sincerely hope you will enjoy these pieces as much as I have enjoyed designing them!

Why are orders shipped to some states taxed?

Jewelry By Gloria maintains an office in Illinois. Our physical presence in this state requires us to collect sales tax on behalf of that state. State law requires sales tax to be collected according to the address where the merchandise is shipped and from the buyer's location. There is a system in place that calculates the tax for your shipment. This is a requirement by Federal Law.

Why am I billed for an exchange order?

When an item is returned to us, we process a refund for that return. If a new item is ordered in its place, we bill for it when it is shipped. This process helps eliminate unnecessary interest charges for our customers. It also helps us keep clear records of your credit card history transactions.  

Initial or return shipping costs are non-refundable.

How do I contact someone?

Jewelry by Gloria is available by phone (312) 878-3704) from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm CST, Monday through Friday. 


Please leave a detailed message if you do not reach someone, clearly stating your name and phone number. Your call will be returned before or within 48 hours after your call.


You may also send an email to Gloria@jewelrybygloria.com. Or a text to (312) 878-3702. Again, your text will be answered within 48 hours or earlier.

What do I do if I receive damaged merchandise?

If an item is damaged or is defective merchandise, please notify us by email at Gloria@jewelrybygloria.com within 48 hours of receiving the merchandise. Be sure to state the date that you received the merchandise and the condition it arrived in.

Please DO NOT dispose of the damaged merchandise or packaging. Disposal of damaged merchandise or packaging without our authorization may void any damage claim, and no credit or replacement will be issued.

You will get a return authorization code in a return email. We ask that you include that on the return form enclosed with your purchase. If we don't hear from you and receive your authorization code within this period of time, you will be issued a store credit instead of a refund.

Upon receiving your return and it is accepted, your refund or new item will be processed in a matter of days.

Depending on location, you may wait up to 5 business days for your return shipment to arrive at our office. 


***If you are shipping an item over $75.00, you should consider using a trackable delivery method or purchasing shipping insurance. 

Where can I find more information about the different gems that you use?

Information on gemstones is already included in many of the descriptions. However, a link to "Gemopedia" on the homepage describes the different gemstones used in our pieces. This will be updated as new gemstones are added.

Where can I find shipping and return information?

As soon as payment is received, orders will be processed and shipped immediately and you will receive confirmation.

We ship via USPS, Priority Mail.


All items shipped as Priority Mail/Standard shipping should arrive 3 -5 days at the latest). (It can be sooner: 1-3 days). However…

PLEASE NOTE:

A big, bold message on the USPS website states: Although priority mail is guaranteed to ship in 3 days after your order is processed, there have been some delays due to Covid.


Your shipment will arrive in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Small Box.


Important: Some pieces are larger than others, and a Jewelry by Gloria jewelry box may not fit in the small-sized, flat-rate box. However, in those cases the jewelry will be wrapped with care.


The cost is a flat rate: $9.20 

We cannot ship to a P.O. box.

What is your return policy?

At Jewelry by Gloria, we value your business and want you to be happy with your purchase. Because items are hand-crafted, individually designed, one-of-a-kind pieces and will not probably be replaced with another, you may return it for a refund by January 23rd due to the holidays. Please include a copy of your receipt with the original packaging and invoice - so that your return can be processed quickly!

The returned jewelry must be in its original condition without any sign of wear, damage, or alteration; otherwise the return will not be accepted. Final sale and special order items are not returnable. Currently, all items are on sale! This means they are returnable. I won't be happy if you or a person who received a gift are not completely satisfied!!!

If the item was purchased as a gift, you will be given a store credit towards another purchase. 

Please indicate your reason for returning the item(s) on the packing slip that you received with your purchase. Package the items, including the purchase receipt, with your item.
