Sodalite is a popular stone for jewelry because it is both abundant and easy to carve. Sodalite is often mistaken for Lapis Lazuli, because of its rich blue tone. As early as 2500 B.C., Sodalite was being traded by the Caral people of Peru, as well as by the indigenous people of Tiwanaku in modern-day Bolivia. The Sodalite meaning gets its name from the rich sodium content within the stone. It gained popularity as an ornamental stone in 1891 when deposits were found in Ontario, Canada. Because these deposits were discovered at the same time as a visit from the royal family, in Canada Sodalite is sometimes referred to as Princess Blue.

Abalone is a stunning shell that is known for its irridesence  and unique vivid color palette. It has been used in jewelry for thousands of years and continues to be popular in modern designs. Affordable and distinctive, it’s the perfect choice to give color to your wardrobe.
